| Now I recently saw Mummy 3 and I wish I hadn't...but I can't fully explain it. But this guy can =D This guy sums up my feelings about the movie in a nutshell basically. What's worse too: they left open the possibly of a 4th Mummy movie DX |

| Well, to be honest, I was bored watching the film. I just didn't feel the excitement. I'll admit, the film had plenty of good ideas and I actually do like the change of using a different mummy but I don't think they were executed right. |

| I think that's what the problem was with this movie. Changing the source material. It's always taken place in Egypt because of how they did mummies. Whatever that was in the movie. That was NOT a mummy. It's some shape shifting, terracotta stoned guy with the power of the elements. I mean why is it they could have had a new mummy instead of Imohtep is beyond me. The only thing that was good about this movie was the action. But even then the movie sucked. |

Well, to be fair. Seeing as how Imhotep died in the last film, it'd be impossible. I think a Chinese Mummy would've been cool if done correctly. I mean, I like Jet Li but they could've casted a better actor. And one more thing, the daughter of the witch felt like a Mary Sue to me. |

The characters just sucked in this movie. That's my main beef. The writing. I just wish that Stephen Sommers would've come back for this one. It would've been so much better.
Not only was it plagued by bad jokes, but the whole relationship with Alex is just time for sexual innuendoes and about his sex life....
WTF? |

You know, another thing that did bother me was the yetis. I was hoping they'd be blood thirsty killers but much to my disappointment, they weren't. The girl speaking yeti is what convinced me that she was a Mary Sue. |

I question the idea of someone speaking yeti to be honest. |

I agree completley. Living shape-shifting stone statues do not count as mummies. It also felt like a spin-off more than a sequel, I mean, it should have been just called "The Tomb of the Dragon Emperor - A Rick O'Connell Adventure" and was sold as a spin-off to "The Mummy" and "The Mummy Returns" like the other Mummy spin-off, "The Scorpion King". |
