PostSubject: Thoughts on "Twillight"'s hype   Thu Nov 13, 2008 11:23 am

I never read the books, so who knows if the film version of "Twillight" follows the book? But as of now, it's just being overhyped to death. Seriously, it isn't even out yet neither have any of us seen it, and there's rabid fangirls who are just getting inpatient for a piece of Robert Pattinson's looks.

Not only this, but there are people who are, literally, trying to die or just dying for Pattinson. there's people passing out, there's people clawing their way for tickets, there's people getting their bones broken, police are being called to disperse the crowds, and there was even a little girl asking Pattinson himself to bite her in the neck assuming she really thought he was a vampire. I mean, "Jee-Whiz tap-dancing Wright". And besides, the story of "Twillight" just begs to be a romantic comedy, not something that takes itself seriously. "Neck Bitten Love", that's the title if it could have been that.

Look, I don't mean to be cruel on the subject or to be overly-bashy,but this type of "over-hype" just brings me to a boil with no end, and whenether it's "Twillight", "Harry Potter", or "High School Musical", fangirls are just acting over-inmature and they just can't find a way to be civilized!

Not to mention that those type of fangirls can be fucking pricks and can't accept the fact that not everyone likes what they like. And trust me, I experienced that at Borders.

I can see that. Sonic, HSM, Twillight, Harry Potter, there's insane fangirls every corner you go on the internet.
